My Bio
I'm a girl that loves horses, with a home base here in southern Pennsylvania.

I've been riding English Hunter/Eq. for 11 years, though I've never owned a horse. I'm a senior in high school this year, and an aspiring astrophysicist.

Sometimes I create art. But most of the time I just draw ponies.

"The greater the artist, the greater the doubt. Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize."

Alright, what would be a humane and/or realistic way to house winged horses?

1 vote
I was originally thinking padded leather straps around folded wings just for turnout; not tight at all, just enough so that the horse can run around and play without flying off. Daily flights would allow for wing-stretching, and the stall would be large..
enough to accommodate unrestrained wings.
But then I was like... that still sounds a bit inhumane. So what about some kind of long tether in the center of the pasture or roundpen? But that raises it's own concerns; a tether long enough for the horse to have freedom would certainly be long enough.
to trip or injure a horse.
Then there's always clipping the wings, but they certainly won't grow back fast enough for constant practice, and when they do grow back for practice/events then we'd need to resort to the other methods.
Or it's all fantasy, I can do what I want, and I should be paying attention in class instead of thinking about this :P

(I'm not making fun of anyone, I just see these all the time and my life is exactly the same xD Love you all, everything is actually going pretty well in life, and who knows? Maybe I'll have some art up this weekend)

Happy birthday  Long time no see, hope life is treating you well <3
Happy birthday, lovebug! I miss you lots and hope you're doing well.
*watches* you have wonderful account! Lovely art! Really quite inspiring :) I look forward to seeing your stunning pieces pop up in my gallery :la:
Hey, long time no see!  Hope you are well
Hey hey hey! How sweet of you to check in on me :glomp:

I'm doing just fine! Life picked up around the time that I dropped off of the face of DA, and it hasn't really slowed down since. I'm in the midst of senior year now, and between piles of schoolwork and college applications and a part-time job and real-life horses, I have virtually no time to draw anything. I still think of HARPG and all of my virtual ponies (and the lovely people involved ), and who knows, maybe I'll return some day, but as of right now the time just isn't there.
Haha, you seem pretty busy!  Sounds like exciting stuff :aww:  Glad to hear you are alive and well, good luck with school and everything :la:
